Google voice has finally been opened to the general public. Google voice is relatively easy to install and use but there are a few requirements. First you need a microphone, or headset with a built in microphone. Secondly you need a gmail account, or in the case of certain European countries, a googlemail account. After restarting your browser login in to your gmail account and on the left hand side you should see a chat option. Under that there is a phone icon that says call phone, click that and a popup will appear on the bottom right hand side of the screen. Choose the country you wish to call and enter the phone number as usual, and click call. If you wish to get a google voice number so that people can call your google voice account you will need a phone. Once you are ready to receive a call from google to verify the number Click Here !. Congratulations you now have google voice setup and your google voice number. Enjoy unlimited US calls for the next year.
